REGULATION CINEAMAZÔNIA – 2018

1.- DATE AND PLACE

Article 1 – The Sixteenth Edition of CINEAMAZÔNIA – Environmental Film Festival, will be held in Brazilian Amazon Brazilian Amazon, from 1st to 31 August 2018.

2.- PURPOSE

Article 2 – CINEAMAZÔNIA aims to disseminate, publicize and display audiovisual works in the categories of short and medium lengths of up to 26 minutes in the genres of fiction, documentary, animation and experimental, as well as feature films in the documentary genre, produced in any part of the world, and each participant can enter up to 03 (three) films / videos, made from 2016.

Paragraph 1 – The feature films sent to CINEAMAZONIA compete only in the category of DOCUMENTARY (Best Documentary Length);

Paragraph 2 – CINEAMAZONIA clarifies that although the environmental theme is in evidence, fomenting discussions and reflections on environmental causes, the Festival is open for the registration of any and all theme and genre of production.

3.- REGISTRATION

Article 3 – They are able to register the films produced in any format

Article 4 – The registrations are free and will be open from 1º to 31 of August 2018, aiming at the pre-selection process for the Competitive Exhibition, by completing the MANDATORY FORM, of the REGISTRATION FORM itself, available to the interested in the site (www.cineamazonia.com).

Paragraph 1 – It is mandatory to send the film exclusively through INTERNET and must be made through the digital platform, accepted links of videos hosted on Vimeo, Youtube, which gives access to the complete visualization and download in full of the pre-registered audiovisual work.

Paragraph 2 – It is mandatory to send, by uploading during the online application process, at least one image of the inscribed film, in Jpeg format (jpg extension), minimum resolution of 300 dpi, approximate dimensions of 15 X 10 cm, RGB, for later inclusion in the catalog and dissemination of the festival.

Paragraph 3 – Under no circumstances shall fees or exhibition rights be paid for the films enrolled, selected or invited to the festival.

Paragraph 4 – Films narrated in English, Spanish and another foreign language, containing dialogue, narration, card or music must be sent with subtitles in Portuguese.

Article 5 – Only entries of productions that have not been classified in previous editions of this festival will be accepted.

Article 6 – All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

Article 7 – All films sent to CINEAMAZÔNIA will make up their permanent collection, and may, at the discretion of the Festival’s organization, be used in cultural and environmental exhibitions, itinerant activities, national or international events, always non-profit, with entry France.

4 – SELECTION

Article 8 – The Producers / Directors of the selected works that will compete for the CINEAMAZONIA Competitive Show will be informed of the result of the selection by the organizing committee, and the respective selection will also be announced on the website www.cineamazonia.com.

Article 9 – The Coordination of CINEAMAZÔNIA reserves the right to invite directors and feature films that can contribute to the quality of the event and the discussion of the environmental issue.

Article 10 – The Selection Committee indicated by the organizers of CINEAMAZONIA will select, among the works registered, those that will participate in the competitive show having full autonomy to disqualify the same ones, that according to their judgment, do not fit the selection criteria of CINEAMAZONIA or not the requirements of this Regulation.

SINGLE PARAGRAPH: The works selected for the Competitive Show of CINEAMAZÔNIA fully accept the terms of this Regulation and may not at any time waive their projection in the respective festival.

Article 11 – The participation in the Pre-Selection Committee, the Official Jury or in the organization structures of CINEAMAZONIA of natural or legal persons with any link with productions enrolled in the Festival is prohibited.

5 – AWARDS

Article 12 – All participants (films and videos) also compete for the Mapinguari Trophy in the following categories: documentary, animation, fiction and experimental.

Article 13 – A Jury will be constituted with members of outstanding audiovisual or environmental performance, and that will be coordinated by a president, responsible for the minutes of meetings, being the decisions sovereign and unrepeatable. The films compete for the Mapinguari Trophy, to the following prizes:

SINGLE PARAGRAPH – Other prizes and honorable mentions offered by national or international institutions will be admitted, provided that they have previously been approved by the Festival organization, and the choice and delivery thereof are the responsibility of the institutions that propose them.

6- GENERAL AND FINAL PROVISIONS

Article 14 – Festival organization reserves the right to exhibit, free of charge, in film and television, and other means of dissemination, of extract of the selected work for the purpose of publicizing the Festival.

Article 15 – The Organizing Committee of the Festival will not be responsible for images and / or songs of third parties used in the works registered, and any and all liability for problems of copyright will fall exclusively on the producer / director of the video.

Article 16 – The participating works may be exhibited, for an indefinite period in cinemas, with non-commercial sessions, in the cultural activities promoted by CINEAMAZONIA, including itinerant activities, unless restricted by the director / producer.

SINGLE PARAGRAPH: The restriction must be sent in a proper form to the CINEAMAZONIA organization.

Article 17 – When filling in the registration form available on the website www.cineamazonia.com, this procedure binds the participants, the agreement to all the terms of this Regulation.

Article 18 – Cases not covered by this Regulation will be analyzed by the organization of CINEAMAZONIA.

Article 19 – CINEAMAZÔNIA is an integral festival of the Forum of Festivals and the network of the Green Film Network.
